The Hats

One of the reasons that I was looking forward to this wedding, was for the hats. This is why I wanted to make sure I was up way before the actual ceremony. Here are some of my personal favorites from the day.

The other Royal Couple

Around 4:20am the other royal couple arrived at the wedding.
Victoria and David Beckham hardly blended in with the other guests.
Victoria who is never photographed pregnant is wearing a dress that she designed and hat that could be used as a weapon. How is this hat staying on? I have no idea, but it looks amazing.
David, my favorite looks incredible! I don't know who is wearing and I don't care. WOW

Its Royal Wedding Day!

Today is the Royal Wedding of William and Catherine. As I have learned, beside my grandma most people I know have little interest in this. I, on the other hand was up at 3:15 am to start watching. I love this stuff.

So far it was announced that they would be known as The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Will Sarah Burton design the "Dress" Someone who looked like her was seen sneaking into the Middleton's hotel?


"Who is this?"

What tiara will Catherine wear? I just listed to a 15 min debate over this topic. Will it be the Russian one the Queen wore,or the one from Diana's family, or the horror will she just wear flowers on her head? We don't know yet.
Worse it now looks overcast and it is still 1 1/2 away.

"Lady Gaga is a Star."

I love this clip of Lady Gaga's HBO concert on May 7th, but I what I love the most is her outfit and hair. I think I may wear that out this Friday night. Look out people!
Now seriously, she says that she is the same person. Really she walks down the street in that outfit? Yeah she probably would. She doesn't want an elevator in her walk up apartment. In those shoes Gaga you need an elevator.

This prayer clip does remind me of a scene from Madonna's "I'm Going To Tell You A Secret", but having seen this show twice I can't wait to see the HBO special.

What every Good Friday needs.

By now most people know, I am not a huge fan of those viral videos that are all over You Tube. I find very few of them actually funny. Then my friend Dave T sent me this little gem a few weeks ago.
Probably by now most people have seen this, but just in case here it is.

No Fist Pumps in Florence

The cast of the Jersey Shore is about to take their $100,000 each per episode to film Season 4 in Florence Italy. However the rules in Florence are very different then the Jersey Shore.
According to the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera the rules are:

-- The cast will not be filmed in bars and clubs that serve alcohol.

 

-- The cast will not be filmed drinking in public.

-- The show will not be filmed to promote Florence as a drinking town.

-- The show should be filmed in a manner to promote Italy (not Americans visiting Italy) and feature it’s culture and good food.

-- They have banned the show from filming in the city’s historic buildings.

Ok so  the season will be about GTL literally, and be 15 min long. This is going to the Ronnie and Sammie fighting / making up show.

Fist pumps will be scarce in Italy.

What's Nick Cage been up to?

   As most heard of the weekend, Nicolas Cage, the star of such movie hits as Moonstruck, The Rock,Con Air,City of Angles, Kick Ass, G-Force and of course Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider 2 was arrested Saturday morning in New Orleans for domestic violence. Now what makes this arrest strange.

The fact that he jumped into a taxi to get away from the police. -NO
The fact the he dared the police to arrest him - NO (They did)
The fact that Dog the Bounty bailed him out of jail for $11,000 - NO

It is that crazy mugshot! I mean was the flash to bright? Was he asleep? Meditating perhaps? Did he know he was getting a mug shot done? His eyes are not even open, what kind of mugshot is this.

Biography's are so last year

Who needs to write a story about themselves, it seems that this year celebrities want to teach us how to cook like them. On a recent trip to Indigo, I was surprised to see these four new releases on the new release cookbook table. I was intrigued by all of them, as they all said the same things. Delicious ,easy recipes,that promise time with family and friends.

Gwyneth's is called "My Father's Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness" 
I have no idea what type of food she is cooking, but I'm going to guess the portions size will be very small.

Sheryl's is called  "If It Makes You Healthy: More Than 100 Delicious Recipes Inspired by the Seasons ."
Oh A cute word play on one of her songs, how original. Again no idea what type of food, but it will be healthy.

Alicia's is called " The Kind Diet: A Simple Guide to Feeling Great, Losing Weight, and Saving the Planet" Lose weight, feel great and save the planet. Wow that is a lot to promise for a cookbook.

Eva's is called "Eva's Kitchen: Cooking with Love for Family and Friends"  As long as that kitchen doesn't include an ex-husband, then all good. These are her favorite Mexican recipes that she says she eats.

Now are any of these books any good? Who knows, who cares. They do have stylish food and perfectly photoshop pictures of the authors. What more do you need.

Oh Mariah Part 2

Oh Mariah, NO. I thought your cover for Life & Style last week was bad. Please have these twins soon, so we don't have to see this anymore.

Sometimes pictures are just meant for you to see, this is one of those times.

Also at least L&S gave you the full cover, OK was "How about half?"
Plus the headline "I wish my babies would get off my bladder!" Huh,  that is what you wish?

Unbelievable David Beckham

Yes he is Unbelievable! This just proves it again.
And before anyone asks, I really don't care what his voice sounds like. Really, does not matter at all to me.
This is real by the way, no fancy special editing here. Just Becks, the sand, 3 balls and no shoes. Amazing.

$700 Million

$700 million! That is what it took for U2 to break the Rolling Stones record for the highest grossing tour of all time. Now everyone who knows this my favorite band, and I went to both nights at the Rogers Centre in Toronto back in September 09, along with the upcoming show in July.
This show is worth every penny. If you have a chance GO, trust me.

Oh Mariah

 

I bought the issue. I read the article. I saw the pictures. Trust me the cover was the best one.

Really Mariah, Life & Style?? This was the magazine that you wanted to sell these picture's too. REALLY?? I find that so strange.

Demi was on Vanity Fair, Britney was on Harper's Bazaar, even Christina Aguilera was on Marie Claire.

For some reason I bet that once the twins are born, Mariah, Nick and kids will be pitching a Ryan Seacrest produced reality show for E!

Britney Spears - Till The World Ends

Britney released her 2nd video from Femme Fatal. "Till The Words Ends" is set in the future - Dec 21 2012. Yes just a whole year and a half away.  It looks like  leather, ripped clothing and not bathing is what we have to look forward to.
Where does Britney go as the world is about to end? A sewer of course!  Only this one looks like an abandon building, with lights, chairs, a DJ and a complete sprinkler system.
Look if the world is about to end, I don't know how much dancing I am going to want to do, but that's just me.
Speaking of dancing.  Everyone knows that Brits vocals are less then impressive, but she usually dances up a choreographed storm. Right?
Well not so much anymore. She stands around the dancers and kind of jumps a bit, she moves her shoulders & neck alot. Flips her hair enough Willow Smith would be jealous, but that is about it.

In case you can't make it through the 4 minutes , the world doesn't end and Britney and her dances can crawl out the cleanest sewer to live another day. Wonderful.

Don't take Meat Loaf's Yellow Paint

For those of you who are not watching this season Celebrity Apprentice, you need to start. Last night was one of the best episodes yet. The men's team, Backbone had to create art to sell in a gallery for charity. They went to Michael's to buy the supplies and when they came back to the studio to work.Only Meat Loaf could not find his bag of yellow paint, brushes and sponges. After that all hell broke loose. Maybe he was just passionate for the children's charity or not being able to create his basketball art.
Whatever the reason Meat's art supplies were found and Gary did not steal it from him.

Stephen Colbert & Jimmy Fallon sing "Friday"

Rebecca Black's "Friday" song has been called among other things, the worst song ever recorded. The video has been seen on You Tube over 80 million times. This week Jimmy Fallon and his best for 6 months Stephen Colbert had a bet going. If Jimmy raised $26,000 by Friday, Stephen would come on his show and sing the song.
This shows you, if you get the right people even the worst song ever can become a hit. I had no idea he could sing that good. I have been singing this all weekend.

Please Stop the Sci -Fi Video's

Lately I have been seeing a trend in music video's, especially ones by female singers. They are all set in outer space! Look I enjoy a bit of sci-fiction every now in then, but in the last month alone we have see Lady Gaga's - Born this Way, Rihanna's - Who's that Chick and Britney Spears - Hold it Against Me. (She must love the outer space theme, Oops I Did It Again was also set in space.)
So of course it is time for Katy Perry to jump on this bandwagon with new single featuring Kayne West - ET.
With a title like that it had to be set in space.
The song is OK, I think it sounds at times like "All the Things She Said" by tatu from a few years back. I am not sure why Kayne got involved,since he doesn't do much in the song.
