After taking about Taylor Swift for 12 months too long, I think Kanye West has officially lost his mind.
He is doing a duet with Kim Kardashian for her new album.  Yes this is true. I don't even think that I could make that shit up. These two feel that for some reason the world wants to hear this. I thought that Runway thing was painful enough to endure, I was very wrong

My Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Addiction

I know that these "addiction" shows are on every channel these days, but the best one by far is this season's Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew #4. I love it because is combines 2 of my favorite things. 1) D-list Celebrities, in some cases E or F list celebrities and 2) over dramatic craziness.
If you haven't seen it, here is the cast list
Jason Davis - his grandfather was a billionaire.  Jason never did anything but drugs and ate. He recently lost 150lbs to help with control his diabetes, Dr. Drew was very impressed by this ,even if it was from using heroin.
Leif Garrett - he was a teen singer in the 70's, a sort of Justin Bieber of his day. He doesn't remember anything from 1979 onwards.
Frankie Lons- her daughter is a R&B signer I have never heard of, anyways she is total mess.
Jeremy London - he was on Party of Five, a show I never could stand. I guess the people that kidnapped him at gunpoint and made him do drugs couldn't stand it either.
Jason Wahler - he was on the Hills, other then that he is a drunk
and then there are my 3 favorites.
Eric Roberts - Julia's brother and Emma's father. He drinks, does drugs and blames everything on a car accident he was in.
Janice Dickinson - she calls herself the words first supermodel, I call her a hot mess. The reason to watch this show. She battles with everyone, and yet we really don't know what she is addicted too. Who cares anyways.
Rachel Uchitel - Tiger Woods Mistress #1. (but really mistress #6 or #7) Her addiction - love. Yep, she is addicted to LOVE. Apparently the cure for that problem is to tan, swim in the pool and not do much else.
So far everyone has tried to leave, cried, blamed there childhood and claimed that Dr. Drew doesn't understand them.
This show is on every Sunday at 7pm on MuchMore Music or whatever it is called now.
I can't wait to see which ones will make it to Sober House, the other reality show that picks up when this one ends, and which ones will never be heard from again..

I know that for some reason everyone is all Nicki Minaj crazy, but the CD I can't stop listening to is Kylie's Aphrodite.

I'm not a snob but....

Recently I was out at a bar chatting to a guy , things seemed to be going well. He was not from Canada and seemed nice enough. Cool. He asked for my number (which thank god I do not give him) and we talked a bit longer, until he told me a very important piece if information. When I asked him where he lived he told down the street from the bar, he seemed more concerned to know where I lived. Again I just gave him a general idea. Then he told me that the place he lived down the street was the Salvation Army.
Look I agree the Salvation Army is a good charity and dose great work, but that is really where I draw the line. Call me a snob if you want, but I was happy that some friends that I had not seen in awhile walked into the bar at the exact moment so I had my fast escape.
I think most of my single girlfriends would have done the same.

Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang Tour



"I hate the Canandiens. You know who else I hate, fucking Angelina Jolie." Chelsea Handler at her Toronto show. 

Last night one of my favorites came to Toronto. The great (I think) Chelsea Handler played her 1st ever Toronto show at Massy Hall.
For those who don't know who she is, I feel bad for you. She is AMAZING. Probably one the funniest comedians, talk show host and writer I know of, along with my other fave, Kathy Griffin. My friend Lauren is the one that got me hooked on her and I have become obsessed.
She talked about her ex-boyfriend, 50 Cent (her maybe new boyfriend), of course Angelina, her dislike of cats, and skinny babies.
The show was fantastic and what made it even better was meeting her after the show! She had a signing of her current book Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang. She looks way better in person and was really cool at the signing.

Today the Official Engagement photos were released. Mario Testino took the photos after the announcement last month. I can't wait to hear all the wedding details that will be released as the day approaches.

Every year I watch to see who Barbara Walters picks to be the 10 most fascinating of the year, this year is no different.
Who are the 10 of 2010??

10- Betty White.  She was everywhere this year and will probably be everywhere in 2011.
9 - the guy who created Facebook, what is most interesting is that he only has 800 friends on Facebook, really that's it. I know people who have never left home have more then that.
8 -JUSTIN BIEBER. - Only 8, that is outrageous!!   He has his own dolls, nail polish & unisex perfume line. In the interview he admitted he kissed a girl in the back of a car, but doesn't have a girlfriend, shocking.  He should have at least been top 3.
7- The cast of Jersey Shore- Fist pump & GTL! They now make 30K per show and The Situation made 10 Million last year.
6 - Sandra Bullock. America's sweetheart,who still didn't talk about her douchbag ex-husband.
5- Jennifer Lopez - one of my personal faves!! Trying to explain that being a judge on American Idol is a good career move. Sure J.Lo.
4 - LeBron James -  Blah, don't really care.
3 - Kate Middleton -Never heard of her.
2- Sarah Palin - Are they kidding? I wish I never heard of her

Trying to Keep up with the Kardashians

When E! Channel came back to Canada one of the shows that I could finally watch was "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." Now I could see what all the hype was about. My questions like "What do these women do?" "Why do they sound like they just inhaled helium?" and "How did Bruce Jenner get mixed up into this family?" could be answered.
After watching more shows then I care to admit, not only did they not answer the above questions, I have more, but lets start with my 3 above questions. I have no clue what they do, they sound that way for no real reason and for Bruce, I think that he is scared to leave.
Now on to the other questions.
The matriarch of the family is Kris. I have no idea how old she is but she thinks that she is still 30 and acts that way. For some reason her kids call her Kris, not mom and she spends most of the shows yelling, buying stuff (yet is never seen working) and crying to her husband.
Her husband is  Bruce Jenner, he seems to be the only voice of reason in this "reality" show. I use the term reality very loosely because I have not seen any.
Then we have the 3 sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe.  The stars of the show.
Kim is the gorgeous* one, who is working all the time (??) and wears more make up then a MAC counter has.
Kourtney has a douchbag boyfriend, Scott. They end up having a baby together. She talks to the camera with no emotion, expression and looks confused most of the time.
Khloe is tall, angry and goes and marries Lamar Odom after 1 whole month of dating because they love each other.
All three sister own a clothing store called Dash, that never seems to have a customer in it, but is so successful they opened one in Miami.
That is it about this show, I would write more about it, but I think that I have lost some brain cells from watching it. Will I watch this show again, of course!

What is the next show on my list? Celebrity Rehab 4. I can't wait to see Janice Dickinson vs. Tiger Woods mistress #1.

Dating Advice Tip #3

So this is not a tip, as much as it is comments that I always seem to hear.
Again I am with my well meaning attached girlfriends, usually over drinks. When at some point they go "Lori we don't understand why you are still single, we just don't get it. We can't figure it out at all."

 Well Sherlock, if you guys can figure it out as some point, please let me know, I have been wondering the same thing.

Goodbye Star TV, Hello E! Channel!!

As everyone knows I am very excited that E! Channel is coming back to Canada, tomorrow November 29th! For the 3 people who don't know, or care. E! Channel specializes in celebrity reality and entertainment-talk programming, basically what I based this blog,  most of my reading and TV viewing on.

Such classic shows as  Keeping Up With The Kardashians ,Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami, E! News, The Soup, Kendra, Fashion Police and E! True Hollywood Story are all back in Canada.

But the show I can't wait for,is the return of  Chelsea Lately!!  This is the best late night talk show EVER! I know that my friends Lauren & Holly are just as excited.

Now if only they could run RuPaul's Drag Race 2, then this channel would be perfect!

Oprah's Favorite Things 2010 - Crazy Audience Reactions (HD)

Oprah's Favorite Things Episode is one of my "favorite" of the season. Not because she gives away stuff that I will never have. I mean $135 popcorn?  The real reason why I love it is because the audience loses their minds! Like at any moment they could explode.
This year was probably the craziest for audience reaction.  The best is the guy holding on to his toupee when he finds out he is going on a cruise.

This is just Part 1, Oprah had 2 Favorite Things shows. It is to make up for her ridiculous recession Favorite Things from last year.

If you want to watch a bad movie.....

Watch this waste of time. Not only does it include every cliche that any romantic comedy has, it has Taylor Swift. If you think her songs are corny, her acting is even worse. I think that almost every actor and actress in Hollywood makes an appearance in this movie, and that is not a selling point of this movie.

"Intertwining couples and singles in Los Angeles break-up and make-up based on the pressures and expectations of Valentine's Day."

Trust me stay away for this one. You will thank me.

I have Wedding Fever

 I am going to admit it. After hearing today that William & Kate are getting married, I have become addicted. Yes I know it has only been less then 24 hours but I have Royal Wedding fever. 
I can't get enough details which is crazy because I am not that big on weddings in general. He gave his mothers engagement ring, so it would symbolize her being part of the wedding. I loved that they announced it on twitter. My obsession will grow into the summer.

Lori's Official Book Club

Last week at work, they had a book sale. The deal was all the books you could put in a box for $5. I felt this would be a great time to start a new challenge. To venture into the would of self help books for the single woman! My version of the Oprah Book Club. I figured that these books would unlock the secrets that I need to know. 

Blaney I am dedicating this to you, along with all my other single girlfriends.

Over the next while I am going to read these books and share the wisdom I learn.

Katy Perry - Firework

This is Katy's tribute to all the kids who don't fit in, who feel like they don't belong.

Just make sure you have fireworks that shoot out of your chest and everything will better!

What an inspiration she is. I still have to understand what the women giving birth with the fireworks shooting out her has to do with anything, but whatever.

I love an Award show that starts at 3pm

So I love award shows. I watch them all. So you can understand why I was so happy to see an award show at 3pm on a Sunday while I was lying on the couch. The show was the EMA's, or for those who don't know, that stands for the European MTV Award from Madrid.

I had no idea that Eva Longoria was so famous in Spain, but apparently she is. She also loves to really use her "Latino" accent every time she says a word that sounds close to being Spanish.

The show started off  with one of the biggest upset in years. Justin Bieber loses to Ke$ha for best new artist! If this happened in North America, 12 year old girls and soccer moms everywhere would beginning rioting.

I am happy to say that Lady Gaga won an award. I am unhappy to say that she was in Budapest so I can't see the Katy Perry death stares like at the MTV awards in September.

Speaking of Katy Perry. She is married now and  feels like it is ok to perform in an outfit that is a cross between Cher circa 1970's & Lady Gaga, fireworks and all.  Uneventful at best.

Now was the time for the 1st ever International Icon Award. Sounds exciting right. So who is getting this very prestigious award. Bon Jovi that's who. I have nothing for that one.

Another thing I learned about Spain. Jersey Shore is just as popular. Fists Pumps translate in all languages. I am glad to see DJ Paula D & Snookie are making their 15 min really last.

Another shocking  upset. Katy Perry's ridiculous California Girls video beats Lady Gaga's Telephone for best video. Outrageous!! Where is Kanye now! He was performing with 30 Seconds To Mars in the pre-show. Damm. Also to calm down those rioting 12 years girls I mentioned earlier. Justin Bieber wins Best Male Video. Yes I said Male Video and all is right again.

Now on to Miley. Sorry your parents are getting divorce. I know your mom had an "affair" with Bret Micheal's - allegedly, but that doesn't  mean you have to dress like someone women from his Rock of Love Show.

Now it is time for Ke$ha to perform and I mean perform. I love glitter, but glow in the dark paint is a whole new level. I can respect a women who can take a drunk Sat night Karaoke performance and turn it into a music career.

Lady Gaga wins a couple of more awards to Katy Perry's disgust, very enjoyable. Then the show ended with Bon Jovi, just like it was 1985 all over again.

Dating Advice Tip #1

One of my favorite things is when my well meaning  friends offer me advice on dating. So throughout this blog I will pass along some of these wonderful tips.

Tip #1 -  My friend -"The best way to meet someone is through friends Lori. That way you know someone who can vouch for him."
               Me - "Oh do have anyone you can set me up with?'
               My friend - "No"

E Channel is back in Canada

This could be the best news I have heard in months! Not only is the Oprah Channel coming in January, but now CTV is bring back E Channel. That means no more Star TV (thank god). I can only hope that also means the end of Ben Mulroney and everyone on the disaster of an entertainment show Etalk
I can now see my Chelsea Lately, The Soup and E! True Hollywood Story every day
This is the best birthday news EVER! I see a PVR in my future now.

They can't stop me from Voting

So today was election day in Toronto. I didn't even know if I wanted to vote, but  I knew it was my duty, so after work I went to exercise this right. I didn't expect the battle I was going to endure.

As in past elections, federal, provincial and municipal they have a voters booth set up in my condo. So when I got home I went downstairs with my ID to vote. Well the man at the booth said there was an error and the building I live in was split in half by mistake and I would have to go to another polling booth 1/2 hour away, even if my address was the same as the polling both I was standing in.

Well that is outrageous. When I starting to disagree with him, he said that is how it is. Too bad for me. As a tax payer and resident of this city, that was not the answer I wanted to hear. You want me to walk to another polling station 30 minutes away? My family didn't come to Canada before it even was a country so I would have to walk 30 minutes to vote. I will not take this injustice!

I called the City of Toronto Election Office and told how I was being refused my right to vote and will take this to the media!
The 2 people I spoke with on the phone were very nice and told me to demand that I be given a voters card. That they would be sending a supervisor to the polling station to see what was going on.

So I walked 2 whole floors back down to the polling station in my condo, (ok I took the elevator) with my ID in hand again. This time the line up was huge, maybe 10 people. As I approached my turn again I could see the guy wanted to send me away again.

I told him that I spoke with the Election Office and you have to let me vote! I will not leave again.

Then he goes. Thanks for calling, do you own or rent? I own. Public or Catholic? Public. Here is your card, Mark one in each section and then hand it back to me.

That was it! That is all I had to do. I spent 20mins fighting for this?

Then the polls close at 8pm and at 8:06 they declare Rob Ford the winner. It took 6 whole minutes for that.

I tried to watch the disaster that was the CP24 election party coverage. Ben Mulroney & the coke addict from BNL singing. Thank god Dancing with the Stars was on.

Gordon Pinsent Reads Bieber

At 16 Justin Bieber wrote his autobiography. Hearing some of the highlights read by Gordon Pinsent makes me want to run to the bookstore and buy it!

Too Much Bieber?

Well today is a prime example the world has gone mad, or at least Justin Bieber crazy. First I read that he got into a "fight" with a 12 year old boy while playing laser tag. I can only image how that went down. But that was not the craziest Bieber news of the day.

 OPI is coming out with a line of nail polish inspired by Justin Bieber. Excuss me, what, are you freaking kidding me. What the hell is he doing a line of nail polish for? I didn't believe it, but it is true. This is taken right from Glamour.com

 "Come December, you'll be able to walk into your local Walmart and buy the collection. Called One Less Lonely Girl, will make its debut with six shades: One Less Lonely Glitter (pale purple), Prized Possession Purple (grape), Give Me The First Dance (silver), Me + Blue (metallic blue), OMB! Two Strikes for Oprah

Everybody knows, I love Oprah. But over the past few years even I, one of her biggest fans have some issues.

So here are the 2 strikes I have against Oprah.

1) Her "My favorite Things Show, Recession Edition" Sorry Oprah but nobody wanted to see things such Gratitude boxes, boxes filled with mementos or spending time with loved ones? Come on - No  thanks Oprah.
What I want to see is the $20,000  refrigerator, the one with a HDTV,Internet, & DVD.(even thou I have no idea who has cable hooked up in the kitchen where the fridge is, but who cares. I guarantee loved ones would be talking about that.) $70 Croissants flown in from France  or a $2000 Crystal Watch.

2) The movie Precious. Ok if you haven't seen this movie, and for some reason want to, stop reading now. Although I'm telling you don't watch it, it may be the most depressing movie ever made. 
Oprah went on and on about how this was the movie of the year. A must see, so of course I saw it.
It is about this girl who's nickname I think is Precious, but it doesn't matter. She is 17, can't read past a grade 4 level, has 1 kid by her father, has another one on the way, also by her father and has a mother that beats her. Sounds like an uplifting story right. Well if you think that it can't get worse - wrong. She finds out that she is HIV positive by that same father who has just died from it. Wow uplifting. I mean HIV?  Could they not have given this girl diabetes? Give her a fighting chance!  Based on the fact that she is 250 -300 pounds this would not be that difficult to believe. Then the movies ends. She gets to keep her 2 kids and can now read at a grade 7 level.
If that is Oprah's idea of uplifting then my idea is very different.

3) So far I don't have one, but she still has a season left. If she does have a 3rd strike, I'll be forced to only watch her show 3/5 days a week. That would be a disaster.

Who hasn't broken up yet?

This was a big week for celebrity splits and break ups. First Courteney Cox and what's his name, then Christina Aguilera and what's his name. 

For Counteney this is a good thing because now she can hit the bars along with her "friend" Jennifer Aniston. I see reality show! "The Real Cougar Town"

  

Who is this guy?



Poor Christina, her album flopped, her tour flopped, her soon to be released disaster of a musical with Cher, "Burlesque" will most likely flop (I will of course go see it only for Cher) and now her marriage flopped. If that couldn't get worse her VH1 Behind the Music needs to be updated. She goes on and on about how he is the greatest man in world blah blah. Poor thing, but don't worry Dancing with The Stars will be calling in a year or so.

But on another note Jessica Simpson has confessed her love to some guy that she as being dating for a few months ,don't worry nobody will remember him unless she doesn't shut up about him. Good luck with that one Jessica, I'm sure its love.

Now please Katy Perry will you get married soon, I can't wait to hear about your divorce.







Chelsea Lately: Snooki and Pauly D

As I said when I started this blog, I am a big fan of Chelsea Handler. I am also a big fan of Jersey Shore, so this clip is a no brainer. Also I am in the process of trying to figure out what to be for Halloween. After watching this, I think that I know now.

Bill O'Reilly makes them go crazy on The View

For those of who don't know yet, some stuff went down on The View today, and I LOVED it.

Now most know that if asked what my dream job would be, it's to be the 6th co-host of The View, or if they got rid of Elizabeth, the 5th co-host.

 On today's show Bill O'Reilly was yelling about something, something so bad that it made Joy & Whoopie  get up and walk out for 2 whole minutes!

But what makes this even more exciting is the scolding that Barbara threw at the two of them for walking out. They should know not to mess with Babs. Just because she had heart surgery in the summer, doesn't mean she won't put you in your place. Even Oprah knows that.  My god even Bill O'Reilly acts like a scared little boy when Babs makes him apologize

The stuff gets good at the 5:45 mark. Enjoy.

Dancing with the Stars Pt 2

Ok so I have missed a few weeks of reviewing DWTS, but I'm back now.

First off, I admit I can't stand Brandy and can't wait to see her voted off, but unfortunately she made it this week.

Jennifer Grey has become my personal favorite to win. Here is why. She is 50 years old. Got a nose job that ruined her career. Has two screws in her neck from a car accident and had a cancerous tumor removed. Whats your sob story Brandy? Oh she was in a car accident that killed someone, never mind.

Buffalo's own Goo Goo Dolls are on. This probably would have been more exciting if it was 2000. Even better is my mom calling me to ask "Are they the ones from Buffalo Lori?" Yes mom they are.

Now I getting nervous will The Situation make it to dance /fist pump next week? Can they waste anymore time stretching this out? What is going on with those trapped miners in Chile? (I'm flipping between this and CNN)

NOOOOO!

Wine in a Box

Some people may judge me for my love of wine in a box, but I say let them.  When I go  visit my parents in Niagara Falls the one thing that I look forward to is the box of wine waiting for me.

Nothing says Niagara Falls like a 4 liter box of wine! (my opinion only) It has to be made in Niagara or what's the point.

Never mind being better for the environment, or more cost effective. Its just  fun to pour your wine from a cardboard box, rather then a bottle.

Oprah's Big Reveal

For the few people that don't know, I love Oprah! I only listen to what Oprah tells me, I only read the books Oprah tells me and I can't wait for the Oprah TV channel. So of course I watched the season premier of her final season.

I found this clip from other great show that is not aired in Canada anymore, The Soup.

Just in case you couldn't hear her (she said it very quietly)  they "ARE GOING TO AUSTRALIA!!!!!, WE ARE GOING TO AUSTRALIA, WE ARE GOING TO AUSTRALIA!!!' and "JOHN TRAVOLTA IS FLYING THE PLANE!!!

This just made me laugh.

Stuck in an elevator....

is not as fun as it sounds. Trust me. Today after work I was going out for an evening of drinks and gossip. However when a full elevator of 12 people got to the 3rd floor it stopped. I figured that maybe we would be stuck for 5 minutes or so. I was very wrong.

 I was with my friend Judy who immediately sent a text to her husband to let him know that she was ok. I immediately sent a text to my friend Lauren to order my drink, and in case I didn't make it out, my final wishes.

After 30 minutes and some stressful moments the door opened. People ran out of the elevator like they had been held captive for days. Some even compared it to the trapped miners in Chile but I think that was a bit overkill.

In the end we made it out and everything was fine again.

I survived Semi Precious Weapons

I first saw SPW in July when they opened for Lady Gaga at the ACC, so this weekend they were back in Toronto. It took place at Wrongbar and besides not being able to find a parking spot and trying to figure out how I cracked my front tooth, the show was crazy.

The opening act was some guy who walked around with a pink hand mirror and a glitter heart shirt. I can say I have never seen anything like that before.  It was like Nuit Blanche, they say its art but really its just a guy walking around with a pick hand mirror and a glitter heart shirt.

Then it was Semi Precious Weapons  "“I can’t pay my rent, but I’m fucking gorgeous"  Basically Shakespeare set to music. You have to give it up for any guy who can high kick like a rockette, wearing 4 inch heals all while singing. Impressive.

After a very entertaining hour plus show it was all over. Lucky for us we were able to meet the lead singer Justin Tranter. Not only did I want to tell him how great the show was, but also what eyeliner do you use? He never answered my question, but I am hoping next time they are in Toronto I can ask again.

The Weekend Starts..

So first off, I would like to thank my friends who have been giving me such great and positive  feedback on my blog. It really means a lot. Yes Bevan I am giving you a "special" shout out.

So I want to start off saying that the biggest news of the week for me was not Michael Bolton's early demise on DWTS, or finding out from Jersey Shore that Nutella is made in Canada,  it was that OWN - The Oprah Winfrey Network is coming to Canada!
With shows like Oprah's Next Chapter, Oprah Presents, Oprah Behind The Scenes and Oprah Tell Us What To Read, I am already counting down the days till 24 hour Oprah. (January 1 2011)
 I will talk about  my love for everything Oprah in future posts.

Also this week I went into a U2 coma. It is like a sugar coma, but better. That will be explained in an upcoming post. 

Now Dancing with the Stars. The most surprising thing about this weeks show, was not the 3 that Bruno gave Michael Bolton, or the boos at Sarah Palin. It was her daughter Bristol Palin being introduced as a "Teenage Advocate"? I guess "Teenage mom & high school graduate (??)" didn't sound as appealing.

The weekend is just hours from starting and my Vodka is chilling.

Another Week

I am sitting in Starbucks writing this entry and watching the Scotiabank Marathon runners go by. As entertaining as that sounds, it is time for more important news.

The scandal this week - surprise is that some escort said she was paid 10K to sleep with David Beckham. He is now suing In Touch  over the story. Now I think the REAL reason for the lawsuit is because in the article she says that his "package" is airbrushed. That bitch is a dream crusher.

Also Demi and Ashton are on the outs. Good thing since neither of them have made a movie worth watching in 10 years. If I have to see another Twitter picture of them trying to look happy, my eyes are going to roll back in my head, and I don't even follow them on twitter!

Of course it is Sunday so I have no idea if Lindsay Lohan is in jail, out of jail, in rehab, out of rehab. in a sober house, out of a sober house. Who cares now.

On a personal note,this week one of my best friends in the whole world came back to Toronto for a long overdue visit. Randy finally made his way back from California. Randy may be one the funniest people I have ever known and although the visit was short, it was long enough (joking). We have known each other for over 10 years now and I miss him already.

I love Stephen Colbert

One show that I watch religiously is "The Colbert Report."  I think that this is just an example of what makes him great. I love how the real politician's don't know if this real or if this is joke.

In case you didn't hear tonight on Dancing With the Stars one of the biggest upsets in the history of the show was committed.

The Hoff was voted off the 1st week. I am not sure if I can continue to watch this now.
In his honour I have decided to share the greatest / worst video ever made.

I can only hope that The Hoff comes back to sing this classic live.

Waiting for THE HOFF...

So can I actually sit through 2 hours of Dancing with the Stars? This was the question I asked myself at 8pm.
By 8:20 I was already bored. The girl for The Hills, some quarterback and a Disney star almost made me bang my head against the wall.

9pm, this has become borderline painful, yet I can't turn away. Margret Cho can't dance to save her life and Brandy is SHOCKED that she can dance. Years of choreograph dance routine's will do that to you Brandy.

Bristol Palin not bad, but her mother is a no show and that is really why anyone even knows who this girl is. The Hoff & The Situation are the only ones that can save this show.

The Situation is on! How to sum it up "Just because you have guns, doesn't mean you have ammunition." 15 out of 30 Fist Pumps.

"Hi my name is Jennifer Grey and you may know me from Dirty Dancing."
No Jennifer we only know you from Dirty Dancing and your nose job. Also it took you 1 minute before you brought up Patrick Swayze.

The Hoff better bring out "Hooked on a Feeling" soon.

He is on! They say The Hoff needs work, and was just madness. The Hoff has heard worse.

So most of you saw her host the recent MTV Awards (not her best performance, OK she sucked) BUT you will begin to see on this blog that I LOVE Chelsea Handler.

I have to thank Lauren for first introducing me to Chelsea  awhile back. I am now a huge fan!

About me

Here is a brief overview of me. Some know, some don't, so here goes.

I was born in Niagara Falls Ontario on November 2 1974. I spent the next 20 years trying to get out of the city. Yes I am from Niagara Falls, not Niagara -On-The-Lake, not St Catharines. Niagara Falls. I have no idea why people always question me of that but they do. People also always question me on my last name, but I am not getting into that.
It wasn't that I didn't like it, it was that I didn't see a reason to stay.
The first 4 years of my life were spent being watched by my Grandma during the day. That was my daycare. I coloured, looked at comic books, dressed up in her jewelry, watched cartoons and wanted to be Wonder Women.  Not bad.

The next part of my life, I will spare most of the details. Elementary, then high school, then it was off for a year to the University of Windsor. (8 months in that city was more then enough for me). Finally I ended up transferring to Ryerson  to study Photography (I have yet to make use of that degree) and have stayed in Toronto ever since . I bought my condo 9 years ago and at times wonder why I did that. I wanted to be a TV reporter, but that never happened. So know I work full time and trying to put what I love doing into this blog.

I am sure more will come up later on, but that is where I am now.

So it begins.......

Hey Friends.
So here it is my first blog entry. I have wanted to do a blog for the last while, but never thought that anyone would want to read it. But after hearing from my friends both in person and on Facebook I decided it was time.
First off, this won't one of those "I am going to tell you everything that is going on in my life." blogs, (so don't worry friends your secrets are safe). I hate them so why would I make anyone else read that. Also really no one gives a shit. I will however include some of the ridiculous things that happen to me as I go through life in Toronto -and of course this blog will be giving my view on the thing I love most. Pop Culture! I have my opinions and views on everything from why Kate Hudson is the worst actress ever to why TV won't be the same without my Oprah, but none of it will be very serious.

I am sure that this blog will improve as I get the hang of it, so be patient with me.
If you are wondering where I got the name from. It is my homage to Elton John's doc "Tantrums and Tiaras"  Those who know me, know that I love my Divas and dance music, so put those to two together and we get Drama and Disco Balls. I may change it as the blog goes on, but for now that is the title!
