Charlie "I'm A Winner!" Sheen

 I was going to start my Oscar disaster review only to hear this breaking news. Peace in Libya? No better -Charlie Sheen is doing his first live interview on TV on Piers Morgan. I was going to watch to see Chelsea Handler, but this so much better.
He arrived looking like he just woke up, fidgeting, sweating , voice sounded like he smoked a pack of old cigarettes , yet claims to have the lungs of a non-smoker (??) and saying he was on a mission. To what, who knows.  He said he did stuff that were like "a rocket ship to the moon, and that he could put Keith Richards to shame."

Here are some of the highlights

He never missed any days of his show, he was late, but never to any of the money days.
He carries his most recent drug test with him and showed Piers - its clean!
He thinks that recovering addicts are loser and he is a winner!
Addicts are lame & ruled by losers
Has had mad success doing comedy. His TV show is based on his epic life, but all they do is poo poo and pee pee jokes. (really he said that)
Piers "What happened on that bender?"
Charlie " Which one are you talking about? I don't take pills ever. I don't take cocaine, I mean I pay for it."
He has a bitching life, and now has 2 girlfriends that he calls "his Goddess"
Calls Mel Gibson "a stone cold dude." and has been taking advice from him.

The show ended with Piers calling Charlie "the Che Guevera of television"  He had no idea who he was talking about, but thanked him anyways. Thank you Charlie, really thank you.

Lady Gaga - Born This Way

It is out, the new Lady Gaga Video!
This number makes her egg birth from the Grammys look fairly tame.
Unicorns, pointy shoulders, crazy makeup, a crazy science fiction arc. Lady Gaga is back with this little 7 minute number.
Visually it has Madonna's influence all over it. The dancing, the song, even the space in her tooth.
One reason could be this video was directed by Jonas Åkerlund who did Madonna's Ray of Light and Britney Spear's current video Hold It Against Me.
Whatever the reason, I love it!

Jennifer Lopez Cries Over Idol Hopeful

On this weeks American Idol my favorite judge Jennifer Lopez was having a hard time coming to terms with the contestant that they cut from the top 24. 
In true J.Lo style she is the only women who can keep her mascara and false eyelashes completely intact while crying.
Ryan Seacrest was worried if J.Lo could find the strength to continue as a judge. I am happy to say she did.
I can only hope for more tears over the next 12 weeks

One of those days...

Today for some reason I was thinking about things that irritate me. Living is a large city I feel at times that patience is a virtue that I don't have anymore.

Do you know what irritates me, when I am out walking somewhere, have my ipod on and get stopped by someone asking me for directions. This happens at least twice a week. I have my headphones on for a reason people, and it is becasue I don't want to talk.

Even worse, I am about to cross the street on a green light and a car turning right on a red almost hits you. Why does this irritate me, because the driver always smiles and waves at me. Asshole, you almost hit me with your car! A wave and a smile isn't going to make me feel better if I am lying on the road.

I could also go on about the TTC but really everything about that irritates me, from waiting for 45 min for a bus, that I could have walked in 30 min.
I think it may be the weather, or February but it seems like everything irritates me.

So tonight was the much anticipated premier of the new Britney Spears video, Hole It Against Me. After watching it - twice, I may have to hold it against her. What is the video about, I have no idea. Is it any good, not really. Does it copy about 4 Madonna videos, at least.

Worst Dressed at the Grammys

So what is better then the best dressed! The worst dressed. This is just my opinion, but these were bad even by Grammy standards.

Snookie you are too pale for this dress. Your dress is too long, remember you are Jersey, what would The Situation think?

Best Dresssed at the Grammys

With last night so so Grammy Awards over. I wanted to beat Joan Rivers and name my best and worst dressed. Unlike other award shows best dressed at the Grammy's would be what the hell are they wearing at any other award show. So here goes...

The Half Time Show That Wasn't

As I talked about in my last post I love 2 things about the Super Bowl, the national anthem and the half time show.  I have already reviewed Christina, now its time for the Black Eyed Peas.

I have never been a huge fan of the BEP's ,one reason could be that they are mothers favorite group right now, but I thought I would give it a chance. 

It started with the BEP's being dropped from the celling, I didn't think that would be the highlight of the show. 

They started with the severely underplayed song "I Gotta Feeling" . Too bad they didn't have a feeling that the mics we not working. Then game "Boom Boom Pow" set to a Tron theme. One review I read called this "as plastic as Will.i.am's hat", never mind Fergie's singing / screaming.

But them came the worst.... Slash appeared on the stage for a stirring rendition of Sweet Child Of Mine

I actually think that he didn't know where he was. I think they just said  "Slash we will send you to Dallas, give you Super Bowl tickets and all you can eat and drink. All you have to do is play part of Sweet Child of Mine, wear a bejewelled top hat and have Fergie hump you as she sings off key. Is that ok?"

Then they moved into the  song "Pump It", then 30 seconds of "Lets Get it Started." Fergie was still yelling about something. Next it was SURPRISE, the lip syncing wonder / man who gave the world Justin Bieber himself - Usher. He danced like a cast member from Glee and sang like is mic wasn't on, mainly because it wasn't. He sang the hit "OMG" - how appropriate. Then in a moment that made men all over go WTF, he jumped over Will.i.am into the splits. Amazing

Was it over yet, no. The BEP's went into "Where is the Love?" I was wondering the same thing by this point.

Next was another 30 second version of their new song. I don't even know the name of it, except it is where they sample "I had the Time of my Life"  I just kept wondering if it was time to end this show. 

How do they end this. By going back to the song they started with, it was so good 10 minutes ago they decided to go back to it, only this time dancers with glow in the dark boxes on their heads joined the Peas on stage.

On a side note, I was reading that ESPN did a poll in the US right after to rate the Half Time show. Every state gave them a F. It was the first time ever that the whole country agreed on something. At least the BEP's can  be proud of that. 

Christina Aguilera - National Anthem Super Bowl XLV

Oh no Christina!

"I have been performing the Anthem since I was seven years old and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true," ... "I am really excited to be part of such an iconic event." Christina Aguilera talking about singing at this years Super Bowl.

I like 2 things about the Super Bowl 1) The Half Time show and 2) hearing a crazy version of the US National Anthem. Most times I am never disappointed. This year is no exception.

Christina Augilera who for some reason keeps getting asked to perform at things. In the past year her album flopped, her tour was canceled, not even Cher could save her movie Burlesque and now she was chosen to sing the anthem. I couldn't wait!

This may have been the best /worst performance ever! I made a bet to see how long she could extend the anthem. It should be about 1 min and 5 to 10 seconds. I put my money on her version being at least 1:47. She clocked in at 1:54. What was the real problem was that she messed up the word. No extended high notes could save that.

She sang (or screamed ) "What so proudly we watched at the twilight last reaming" Instead of "O'er the ramparts we watched."
It was so bad  that for a time she replaced Egypt for twitter trending list.

This was better then I could have imaged. Did nobody tell this poor girl that you can pre-record your version, you know so its right. Oh Xtina you did not disappoint.

Next weeks SNL

While watching the latest SNL with host Dana Carvey, I have to admit I thought it would have been funnier, but oh well. What really caught my attention was next weeks host. Russell Brand, with musical guest Chris Brown. Why? It is not because I care about either of them.

Russell is married to Katy Perry, who claims to be best friends with Rihanna, who claims that Chris Brown beat the crap out her. It is going to be good!!
